A fast-paced head to head duelling card game without the massive expense of a CCG or LCG. Clash of Decks gets right down to brass tacks and gets you beating on each other immediately. Games are quick and full of delicious card interactions.

What I like:
I love a game that does a lot with very little. There are only 30 cards in the starter set, but every game feels unique and challenging. You do start to have favourite cards and what cards you draft can be the most important part of the game.
The card powers themselves interact with each other wonderfully, and you can deploy them in such interesting ways that can feel very satisfying when you pull something awesome off.
The duelling push and pull aspect of the game feels is well balanced, and the game is quick enough that a blowout only makes you want to play again instead of calling the game stupid and smelly.
My Rating: 7.5/10
What I don’t like:
Unless you backed it on Kickstarter back in the day, it is not available. They’ll be making it available for purchase from their website at some point, but currently you can’t buy this.
Although it is very easy to teach, it can be a frustrating experience for new players; especially playing against a more experienced player. How the powers work and interact with each other can be hard to understand fully for new players.
Is it good for kids and families?
I generally wouldn’t consider a 2-player only game a family game, but if this is what you’re looking to play with one of your kids, it would work pretty well. 8+ seems about right.
