Skull
Do you like misleading people? Do you want to lure other people to their doom? Do you like to damn the torpedoes and go full speed ahead to achieve victory? No? Huh. That’s awkward. Just uh, push the back button then I think.
Year of Release: 2011
Number of Players: 3-6
Playing Time: 15-45 min
Listed Age:10+
Mechanics: Bluffing
Theme in a Nutshell: Skulls and Roses
What I like:
Easy game to teach, you can be up and running in under 5 minutes.
It’s a bluffing game where you don’t really need to be that much of a lair to pull it off. A strong poker face does help though.
There are a lot of ways to achieve success. No one path to victory.
You can play this game with a regular deck of cards if you really want.
My Rating: 7/10
What I don’t like:
Games can take longer than they should, or extremely quick, which can make it a weird one to plan for.
Player elimination can be a bummer if someone is an Icarus. This is especially true if the rest of the game drags out.
Is if good for kids and families?
Yes! Kids and parents can really have fun trying to psyche each other out.
