PitchCar Mini
Take a disc flicking game like Crokinole, or Flick ‘Em Up!, but make it a car racing game. You get road pieces to make the track, with the ever-important guard rails, pick how many laps you want to do, and get flicking. If you fall off the track you have to go back to where you flicked from.
Year of Release: 2002
Number of Players: 2-8
Playing Time: 30 min
Listed Age: 6+
Mechanics: Dexterity
Theme in a Nutshell: Car Racing
What I like:
With the mini version you can fit it on the table just nice, even with expansions of which there are a few. There’s a bigger OG version of this just called PitchCar, but I suspect you need a large table for that one. I’d like to try it someday, but I don’t want to own it.
My Rating: 7/10
What I don’t like:
People can fall out of the race and get frustrated and unhappy. Keep the game quick to minimize the grumpiness.
Is if good for kids and families?
Very easy to teach, good for all ages, and it can get quite raucous when the race is close.
