It’s time to slay the dragon, and also many other creatures. A regular murder spree if you will. You are trying to vanquish the monsters, but really all along the monster is you. But you knew that already, didn’t you?

What I like:
The game’s spice comes in the push your luck element. You need to decide how many dice is enough when attacking a monster. If you wait until it’s safe you’re wasting time, if you go too early, you’re going to fail miserably, and that sets you back as well. If it’s a real squeaker the dice roll can be exciting for everyone at the table, not just the player that’s making the roll.
The game gives you a wide range of challenges to overcome, keeping the game fresh. Eventually you’ll get to battle some dragons which give some big points, but it’s hard to pull off.
The presentation and theme works well, and it’s an easy teach.
Games don’t overstay their welcome, you can usually wrap one up well under an hour.
It’s quite portable, so it could be a good game to take with you on holidays or whatnot.

What I don’t like:
Dice rolling isn’t for everyone.
A little simplistic. Not a lot of crunch.
Is it good for kids and families?
Yes! I would only play this with kiddos. Murderous theme is safe enough for kids, and it gives them a backdoor lesson in probabilities.
